StigStack launched in May 2026 with a simple mission: cut through the noise in AI tools. Every week, dozens of new AI products launch — most promise the world, few deliver. We help creative professionals find the tools that actually work for them.

Who We Are

We're a small team of designers, writers, and engineers who use AI tools daily in our own workflows. StigStack started as an internal spreadsheet — a running collection of tools we'd actually tried, ranked by what survived real use. When we shared it with colleagues, the response was immediate. People were hungry for something more honest than sponsored roundups and launch-week hype.

So we built StigStack: a curated directory of AI tools for creative work, backed by hands-on testing and honest opinions.

Our Ethos

No hype. We don't write about tools we haven't used. Every review on this site comes from real testing — not press releases or launch announcements.

Honest comparisons. We surface trade-offs, not winners. The best tool depends on your workflow, your budget, and your preferences. We lay out the differences clearly so you can decide.

Editorial independence. Our ratings and reviews are never influenced by affiliate relationships, sponsorships, or partnerships. A tool cannot buy a better score.

How We Test

We evaluate tools against five criteria: performance and output quality, ease of onboarding and daily use, pricing and value, integration with existing creative workflows, and customer support reliability. Every tool we review is tested in a realistic work context — not a sandboxed demo environment.

Our testers use each tool for at least one week of real work before any review is published. Scores are debated internally and updated as tools evolve.
